Post by Admin on Mon Sep 13, 2010 5:12 pm

Hello FTC Teams!

You are receiving this email because you have been identified as the main or alternate contact for a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Team. FTC staff sends an email blast weekly or bi-weekly during the competition season. These email blasts contain information that we believe will help your team to be successful.

Please share this information freely with your team and beyond.

1. GET OVER IT!
2. Questions about the Game?
3. Magnet Sensors
4. IR Beacons
5. 2010/2011 Event Schedule
6. Team Registration
7. Volunteers

1. GET OVER IT!
The FTC 2010-2011 Game has been revealed. Our Game Design Committee has put in long hours to make this game fun and challenging for you. We hope you like it! Visit our Game Page to view the video and for copies of the Game Manual and Field Build Instructions.

2. Questions About the Game?
Do you have a burning question about the game? Want to make sure your strategy or design idea is legal? Don’t forget – the only way to get an “Official” answer about the game is to post it in our Game Q&A Forum. Our Game Forum goes LIVE on Friday, 9/17/2010.

3. Magnet Sensors
Did you notice that GET OVER IT! has magnetized game pieces? You can buy your Magnetic Sensor from HiTechnic. They go on sale next week! Make sure to use the code ‘FTC2010’ when you place your order.

4. IR Beacons
We’ve recycled the IR Beacons from the HotShot! Season, but if you need one for practice, you can get yours from HiTechnic.

5. 2010/2011 Event Schedule
Our event schedule is posted and we are adding events daily. Click here to find an Official Workshop, Scrimmage, Kick-Off!, Qualifier or Championship Tournament near you. Check often, as this information will be updated regularly. Remember, it is your responsibility to register for the events you wish to participate in.

6. Team Registration
Team Registration is still open. If your team is not registered for the upcoming season, you still have time. Click here to register your team for the 2010/2011 FIRST Tech Challenge Season.

7. Volunteers
Do you know someone who would like to volunteer for FIRST? Put them in touch with your local Affiliate Partner. To find out who your local Affiliate Partner is click here or send an email to us at ftcteams@usfirst.org
