------------
1. Team Guide to Judging and Awards
The Team Guide to Judging and Awards is attached. This is an extremely valuable resource that will help teams prepare for tournament day judging and the mid-season video. Share this document with every member of your team! Our Lead Judge Advisor, Steve Willingham, wrote this guide specifically for Florida’s League Play system. Thanks a bunch Steve!

------------
2. Team League Assignment List
Team assignments sorted by team number and by league are contained in the attached files.

------------
3. Tournament Registration
Tournament registration will open shortly after all of the leagues publish their tournament dates. I hope that this will be early next week. Instructions for registering will be provided in a Florida team email blast. League tournament dates are published on the Florida FTC web site: www.flfirst.org/Florida_First_Tech_Challenge/Events.html

------------
4. FTC Demonstration at Lockheed Martin in Orlando
Lockheed Martin – Orlando will be holding its annual Engineers Week (E-Week) celebration the week of February 18th – 22nd, 2013. As in the past, LM-Orlando would like to extend an invitation to a group of 10 FTC teams to participate in the E-Week festivities and to showcase their creations and efforts over the 2012-2013 FTC Season. Teams will be asked to bring their robots and participate in demonstration matches on an official Ring It Up! field. Teams will also be asked to informally talk with LM-Orlando employees about their experiences and their machines. Lunch will be provided as well as a tour of some of the LM-Orlando products and simulators manufactured at this site. The date for this event is Wednesday, February 20th from 9AM to 3PM.

For security and staffing reasons, we must limit the number of people per team to a maximum of 5 (at least one mentor and two students please). Further, all adults (18 and over) must be a U.S. citizen or hold a permanent resident card. If your team is interested in participating in this event, please send an email to Javier Rivas at Javier.Rivas@lmco.com for additional information. Again, slots are limited, so please respond promptly. Looking forward to seeing you there!

That's all for now.

Take care,
