1. Florida Event Registration Opens Wednesday, December 5th
Registration for Meets and League Championships opens Wednesday, December 5th at 8:00 p.m. EST. Please submit your team's registration requests for events that occur on December 15, 2012 and later. Teams need to register for all events they want to attend for the remainder of this season. We need this information in the system even if you have already received attendance confirmation from an Event Host.

Submit your team's registration request as soon as possible after registration opens, so that Event Hosts have the information they need to prepare for their tournament. Visit the event registration start page to learn about the registration process before registration opens.

Registration Details:
- Registration opens Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
- The registration start page is located here: www.flfirst.org/Florida_First_Tech_Challenge/Event_Registration.html
- A team passcode is required to submit a registration request. Passwords were emailed to the main and alternate team contacts listed in the FIRST Team Information Management System (TIMS) on Monday, December 3rd. The Florida Event Registration System passcode is different from the passwords used to access the FIRST Team Information Management System (TIMS) and the FTC Q&A forum. The representative chosen by the team to register for events needs to obtain the team passcode from the main or alternate team contact listed in TIMS before registration opens. Contact Michael Coleman at michael.coleman@flfirst.org if you need assistance obtaining your team's passcode.
- Registration priority for in-league registrations ends on Wednesday, December 12th at 11:59 p.m. EST. Unfilled competition slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis after the in-league priority registration period ends. Teams may register for both in-league and out-of-league events starting this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. The registration timestamp will determine the order that teams are invited to fill open competition slots after the in-league registration priority period ends.

2. Mid-Season Video
A team created video will be judged and contribute 25% towards each team's state ranking. The submission deadline for this video is January 1, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. EST. See the Team Guide to League Play for details about video format, content, etc. Judges will use the information contained in the video to score teams in the same ten quality areas that are used at Meets and League Championships. Keep this in mind when creating your team's video. TheTeam Guide to League Play can be downloaded from this web page: www.flfirst.org/Florida_First_Tech_Challenge/League_Play.html

Video Submission Details:
- The video collection system opens on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
- The video collection system web page is located here: www.flfirst.org/Florida_First_Tech_Challenge/FTC_Video_Collection_System.html
- A team passcode is required to submit team videos. Passwords were emailed to the main and alternate team contacts listed in the FIRST Team Information Management System (TIMS) on Monday, December 3rd. This is the same passcode used by teams to register for Meets and League Championships. The Florida Video Collection System passcode is different from the passwords used to access the FIRST Team Information Management System (TIMS) and the FTC Q&A forum. The representative chosen by the team to register for events needs to obtain the team passcode from the main or alternate team contact listed in TIMS before submitting the video for judging. Contact Michael Coleman at michael.coleman@flfirst.org if you need assistance obtaining your team's passcode.
- The video submission deadline is Tuesday, January 1st at 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Links to all of the team videos will be published on the www.flfirst.org web site immediately following the submission deadline. The video search page is located here: www.flfirst.org/Florida_First_Tech_Challenge/Registration_System/video_search_form.php

3. Attending Out-of-League Meets
Teams are encouraged to attend out-of-league Meets. Starting this Wednesday, teams may submit registration requests for both in-league and out-of-league Meets.

The two leagues in the Orlando Area (Tesla and Seminole County) are small leagues with lots of capacity at their competitions for out-of-league teams. Meets run by the Seminole County League on December 8th and 15th are in particular need of teams. Send emails to the following Event Hosts if your team would like to attend one of these Meets:

December 8th in Port Orange - Dru Urquhart at dhurquha@volusia.k12.fl.us . There is no participation fee for this event.
December 15th in Longwood - Karin Fisher at karin_fisher@scps.k12.fl.us . Send an email to Karin and include the attached registration/order form in the email. Also enter your team's information in the online system when it opens on Wednesday, December 5th.

4. Team Ranking Report
The team state ranking report for all Meets held through December 1, 2012 is located here: www.flfirst.org/Florida_First_Tech_Challenge/Florida_State_Team_Rankings.html

That's all for now.
